Iraina Mancini’s debut album Undo the Blue was released by Needle Mythology in 2023 to some acclaim, and two tracks from it, the title song and “Sugar High” have now been remixed and released on limited 12” vinyl (500 copies only), streaming and download.
“Undo the Blue” has been “reanimated” by Beyond The Wizards Sleeve (otherwise known as the DJ/producer duo Erol Alkan and Richard Norris, and who released psych-dance album The Soft Bounce in 2016). Clocking in at seven minutes and then some, this new mix increases the sparkle with twinkly instrumental-only passages and a focus on Mancini’s angelic vocal.
The other remix is by Saint Etienne [Sarah Cracknell/Bob Stanley/Pete Wiggs], who intensify the rhythm and hook on their version of “Sugar High”, pushing the track into Balearic sunshine.
